In view of the ongoing Centenary Birthday celebrations of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin TUS, Dawoodi Bohra Business Association of Bangalore (DBBA) and Jamali Guards teamed up to launch a unique programme "Burhani Shopping Festival" in the primary business hub of Bangalore SJP Road and SP Road.

Today was the launch of this Burhani Shopping Festival on the hands of Janaab Aamil Saheb Skh Khuzaima Bhai Yamani.

Aamil Saheb presided over the launch function which was held at the premises of Mazor Enterprises on SJP Road. The function was brought to order at 11 AM with the welcome address by Shabbir Bhai Rangwala. The function began with Tilawat E Quran E Majeed by Abbas Skh Shabbir Saifee and recitation of Qasida Mubaraka "Salla Ala Mohammadin".

The dignitaries who attended the launch function were welcomed with bouquets on the hands of Janaab Aamil Saheb.

Thereafter, Aamil Saheb addressed the gathering. In his address he reinstated the fact that mumineen are basically a business community and they do their business with ethics and loyalty towards the law of the region. It is His Holiness's guidance and broad vision which is the primary cause for the prosperity of all mumineen in all walks of life.

After the short address by Aamil Saheb, the gathering was overjoyed to hear a few words from Mr. Roshan Baig. In his address he became nostalgic and recollected his brief encounter with His Holiness when he had got the privilege of visiting Mumbai to attend the inaugural function of Saifee Hospital. He then also proposed that a hospital on the lines of Saifee Hospital in Mumbai is very much required in the city of Bangalore. If the followers of His Holiness take up this project they would get an wholehearted support from him in whichever area need be. He concluded with a request to the gathering to always stay in unity dissolving the religious or political barriers.

Hearing this appreciation from Mr. Roshan Baig, Mr. Zameer Khan also shared his thoughts with the gathering. Mr. Zameer Khan was amazed by the beauty of the function and told that to him today itself looked like it was 25th March (the birthday of His Holiness) and it was difficult for him to comprehend how 25th March would look like.

At the end of the inaugural function dignitaries present there were felicitated by Aamil Saheb and everybody present there were served snacks.

After the function all dignitaries proceeded in a procession to the "Gate Arch" which was erected on S.P.Road. Their Mr. Roshan Baig did the honour and performed the customary opening of the ribbon signifying the beginning of the Burhani Shopping Festival. The procession then walked on S.P.Road to witness the many shops which had decked up their premises to exhibit and share their happiness of celebrating the 100th Birthday of His Holiness Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin TUS.

The procession diverted at the Mariswamappa lane and walked the entire stretch on SJP Road and concluded at the Mazor Enterprises premises on SJP Road.

May Allah grant a long and healthy life to His Holiness Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin TUS who is a beacon of guidance in this world and it due to his far sighted approach that we have achieved such laurels in whatever we have done. AMEEN.
